For .mobi files, you can download a program called Kindle Previewer, which can easily be found online. Keep in mind that this programs is merely a previewer -- meaning that your book may look slightly different than it will on an actual device -- but it will give you the best idea of how the finished eBook will look without viewing it on an actual eReader.
